Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

pd2ppt is operated by Urban Beautiq LLC ("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for personal data described below.

2. What we collect and why

• Account data (email, hashed password or Google account identifier) — to create your account and let you sign in. Legal basis: performance of contract.
• Uploaded PDFs — stored temporarily in private storage while your presentation is produced. The browser requests deletion when it is done with them; cleanup is best-effort. Abandoned uploads become eligible for cleanup after about 24 hours, but may remain longer until cleanup succeeds. If you start the $5 guest unlock for a deck made from a PDF, a copy of that PDF is kept with the deck, with a retention policy of about 24 hours if unpaid and 7 days after purchase once paid. Actual deletion may occur later while recurring cleanup is disabled. Legal basis: performance of contract.
• Saved presentation content — for every plan and purchase (monthly Pro, yearly Pro and $5 decks): the retention policy is 7 days after the last edit for saved drafts and their extracted figures, 7 days after saving for presentation history, and 7 days after the last edit for research content. Presentation history keeps only the most recent 50 items, so older entries may be removed sooner. A paid $5 guest deck is available for 7 days after purchase; unpaid previews expire after about 24 hours. Downloaded PowerPoint files remain on your device. Browser drafts are available for up to 24 hours; expired browser data is removed when checked on return, not on a timer.
• Diagnostics — counts, timings and sanitized technical error details (no document text) are kept for about seven days; old entries are removed when new ones are written, so deletion is opportunistic rather than on a fixed schedule.
• Subscription and credit records (plan, status, period dates, credit counts) — to grant access to paid features. Legal basis: performance of contract.
• Logs and security telemetry (IP address, user agent, error traces) — to keep the Service running and to detect abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

We do not use your uploaded documents or generated decks to train AI models.

3. Who we share data with

• Stripe — our payment processor. Stripe processes your payment. See Stripe's Privacy Notice.
• Optional analytics and advertising — Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and the OpenAI Pixel (ad measurement, including purchase events sent from our server). They receive pseudonymous usage, device and purchase events to measure traffic and whether our ads work. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland and Quebec they load only after you accept; elsewhere they run unless you reject. Rejecting stops them for the future. See how Google handles data.
• AI providers — the text of your document, link or idea is sent through our AI gateway to model providers (Google and OpenAI) to create your outline and slides. Links you submit may be fetched via Firecrawl.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers (cloud database and edge infrastructure, including Supabase and Cloudflare) — they store your account data and serve the application on our behalf.
• Authorities — only where required by law.

4. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required by law we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

5. Retention

We retain account, billing, subscription and credit records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Temporary PDF cleanup is best-effort: deletion is requested after processing, and abandoned uploads become eligible after about 24 hours, but may remain until cleanup succeeds. The saved-content retention policy is 7 days: drafts and figures after the last edit, presentation history after saving (with a most recent 50 items cap), research content after the last edit, and paid $5 guest decks and their related PDFs after purchase. Paid $5 guest decks are available for 7 days after purchase; unpaid previews expire after about 24 hours. Browser drafts are available for up to 24 hours. Downloaded PowerPoint files remain on your device.

Recurring cleanup is currently disabled. The 7-day policy is not a guarantee of automatic deletion: saved content and related PDFs may remain longer until cleanup is run. Guest download access expires separately from deletion. The same retention rule applies to every account, including administrator accounts. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us; we will erase or anonymise personal data except where law requires us to keep it.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights contact us at info@pd2ppt.com. UK/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

6a. U.S. state privacy rights

Some U.S. states (for example California) give residents privacy rights that may apply depending on a business's size and activities. We offer the following to all U.S. visitors whether or not a given law applies to us: you may ask to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may opt out of optional analytics and advertising tracking that could be considered "selling" or "sharing" personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the site footer or Cookie settings; we also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out for that browser. Other requests can be sent to info@pd2ppt.com; we may need to verify your identity before acting on them. We will not treat you differently for using these choices.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging on our backend.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and storage (sign-in, checkout, saving your work) plus optional analytics and advertising tools listed in section 3. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland and Quebec the optional tools only load after you accept; elsewhere they run by default as permitted by local law. You can change your choice at any time: Cookie settings or Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Rejecting or withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking right away; it can't recall data already sent.
